Room Mates is the outcome of a two weeks Applied Dreams workshop in cooperation with OrangeWorld customer experience group on the subject of Event based timing tools. The goal of this workshop was to develop tools and services to help social groups to coordinate their events fluidly using mobile devices.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Applied dreams are short innovation workshops developed jointly by IDII faculty and industrial partners, In this case it was OrangeWorld customer experience group. The workshop's topic was "Event based timing tools".
Mobile phones change our perception of time:
from
clock time to event time,
from fixed scheduling to free form scheduling.
People manage their social and business time differently when mobile.
The goal of this workshop was to develop tools and services to help social groups to coordinate their events fluidly using mobile devices.

For the mobile service provider

Increase revenues by:

For 3rd party businesses

  : :  Provide services targeted for specific audiences. For example:
"Event Capsule"
 A service model that links events organizers (I.E: cinemas, concert halls, festivals)to their crowds.
An MMS is downloaded to a room by one of the members and handles all scheduling, booking
and payments for the event.

For the user:
Finally a communication tool that reflects the way we connect and socialize with people

This concept was developed in only two weeks and there's still a lot to do:
