The Secret Life of Common Objects: A two part course, exploring qualities of interaction design

fuzzy Logic
Fuzzy Logic is what happened when we took the tactile sounds and reactive objects to the kids playroom.
It is a big, round, hairy cushion that enables children to explore sounds and textures while playing.




 

The cushion reacts to different types of touch stimuli by making sounds.
Textured patches have associated sounds: Animals sounds, Human sounds, musical instruments and more.
You can play with the patches below for some sound samples

 

 



 
Children can move and replace the patches to change the couch's sounds. The particular set of patches and their placement determines Fuzzy's "mood".
